Strep Throat and a tired Mom

My Daughter has Strep Throat and I’m tired. I have my fingers crossed I don’t get it too! A bump in our road that only slows the Mom down LOL Looks like she is recovering nicely though and I hope back to school for her Monday!

Have a Good day!

Fly The Flag campaign

Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE info with everyone in your world asking them to also share it. We have a little less than one week and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America .

I was emailed the original but really hate to bulk emails like this and the blog is a perfect soap box…so here it is.

THE PROGRAM:

On Thursday, September 11th, 2008, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an Am erican flag on this seventh anniversary of one our country’s worst tragedies. We do this honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn’t take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds

Action Plan:

So, he re’s what we need you to do ..

(1) Post the info on your blog. Please don’t be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don’t, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank you for your participation.

My Gratitude list….

My Gratitude list….

I visited my friend Jodi’s blog today, Happy House Quilts, and she had recently posted about the 7 things she is grateful in her life. She really is a really amazing lady!

So I thought I would join in with her today…

1. My daughter Marissa, with her unconditional love gives me the strength to do the things I do.

2. My personal Angel Myles, watching my daughter and I from above, he taught me what “true” unconditional love was. I’ll love you forever Myles…

3. My Family, without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

4. My independence & Dreams, learning to do things and go places just because I can!

5. The internet, I have made SO many wonderful friends, that with no internet I would never have met!

6. My health and my family’s health

7. And of course my faith in the man up stairs. He has guided me through my life, and all the up’s and downs.

School Starts Monday!

School starts here for us Monday! I’m excited and dread it at the same time! LOL It means no more late nights for Mom, up at 6am and sleep by 10:30pm (11pm if I stretch it)! But the up side is I get some Me time, to work, goof off whatever, and my house stays cleaner!

We meet our new 2nd grade teacher tomorrow, fingers crossed my daughter loves her or we are in for another long, hard year!

Have a GREAT day!

After Much Soul Searching…

I have decided to stop taking custom orders for now. People don’t seem to understand I have a real life, that doesn’t always involve my sewing machine. So for the time being I am stopping. The fate of MaPetiteChou.com? I don’t know yet, still thinking about it.

School starts up again here on the 18th of August, so I will be busy getting my daughter ready to enter 2nd grade! Didn’t I just give birth yesterday??? Where did the years go too? My baby will be 8 this year, so grown up, but still a baby in many ways..

Anyways! It’s 2.30 am, I’m going to call it a night! Have a great week everyone!
